US Breaks All-Time Heat Record For March

A heatwave across the US Southwest has broken multiple March temperature records, including the highest ever recorded in the month. Temperatures reached 43°C (110°F) near Martinez Lake, Arizona, surpassing the previous record of 42°C set in 1964. Phoenix, Las Vegas, and parts of California also recorded new highs, with temperatures running 20–40°F above normal.

More than 100 March records have been broken or tied across several states. Officials warned of dangerous conditions due to early-season exposure, with heatwaves becoming more frequent and intense due to rising global temperatures. Scientists say scorching heatwaves impossible without climate change.

Returns like that don’t happen everyday, but the Artprice100 outpaced the S&P 500 by 64% (‘20-’24).
