US Bombs Iran’s Oil Hub

President Donald Trump said the US military had “totally obliterated” all military targets on Kharg Island, a key Iranian oil export hub about 15 miles off Iran’s coast where roughly 90% of the country’s crude exports pass. In a Truth Social post, he said the US chose not to strike the island’s oil infrastructure but warned it could reconsider if shipping in the Strait of Hormuz is disrupted. All you need to know about Kharg Island.

The comments came two weeks into the US-Israeli war with Iran. Officials say more than 15,000 targets have been struck. Over 1,300 people have been killed in Iran, while a US aircraft crash in Iraq raised the American military death toll to 13. Follow live updates here.
