Trump Refuses To Apologize For Racist Obama Video

President Donald Trump posted a video showing Barack and Michelle Obama depicted as apes at the end of a longer clip promoting false 2020 election claims. The post stayed up for nearly 12 hours before being deleted amid bipartisan backlash. On Air Force One, Trump said he watched only the beginning, blamed a staffer for not reviewing the full video, and refused to apologize

Republicans including Senator Tim Scott, Senator Roger Wicker, and Representative Mike Lawler called the post racist and urged its removal. The White House initially defended the video before later attributing it to staff error.
