Minnesota Shooting Suspect Arrested

Vance Boelter, accused of fatally shooting Minnesota lawmakers, was arrested near his Green Isle farm and booked into Hennepin County Jail early Monday. He faces two murder and two attempted murder charges and is set to appear in a downtown Minneapolis courtroom at 1:30 p.m. Monday. Who is Boelter?

A two-day manhunt in Minnesota ended  with the arrest of Boelter, who was accused of killing State Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband, and wounding State Sen. John A. Hoffman and his wife in separate home attacks near Minneapolis. Governor Tim Walz called the shootings “targeted acts of political violence”. The attacks, which stunned Minnesota and alarmed lawmakers nationwide, are part of a rising wave of political violence prompting renewed concerns about the safety and public accessibility of elected officials — especially those, like Hortman and Hoffman, who had publicly shared their home addresses. Tributes pour in.

Police discovered a notebook with about 70 potential targets in a vehicle linked to the suspect, parked near Rep. Hortman’s home, authorities said. The list included names of doctors, business leaders, Planned Parenthood centers, and prominent Democrats. U.S. Senator Tina Smith confirmed her name was listed, along with Sen. Amy Klobuchar, Reps. Kelly Morrison and Ilhan Omar. Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison was also named, his office said. As per reports, he might also have had plans to target the ‘No Kings’ protests. How Minnesota reels after shooting.

Trump’s Military Parade Marred By Protests, War

Millions joined “No Kings” protests across 2,100+ U.S. cities on Saturday, opposing Trump’s administration and countering his D.C. military parade. Organizers called it the largest single-day protest of his second term. (Watch) Over 5 million participated, with 300 additional “Kick Out the Clowns” rallies. Philadelphia drew 100,000, Chicago 75,000, and even small towns turned out. In photos. Violence erupted in Salt Lake City, killing one, and a man was arrested in Culpeper, Virginia, for driving into a crowd. Governors across the U.S. urged calm, promised zero tolerance for violence, and in some states, mobilized the National Guard ahead of the protests held by Trump’s critics

The demonstrations were organized on the same day as President Donald Trump’s long-anticipated military parade commemorating the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary unfolded in downtown Washington on Saturday, but the celebration was overshadowed by a day of unrest and violence. At the close of the two-hour parade, President Trump praised U.S. military strength, saying, “Every other country celebrates their victories. It’s about time America did, too. That’s what we’re doing tonight.” In his eight-minute speech, he honored the Army’s origins and acts of bravery throughout U.S. history. Who were the parade’s sponsors?

“Watching this magnificent display, our souls are filled with gratitude for every generation of warriors who have worn the uniform back to the very beginning,” he added. Trump watched from a stand on Constitution Avenue, joined by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Vice President Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, and First Lady Melania Trump. Key takeaways. However, the parade did not sit well with the Americans. How much did it cost?

World Leaders Arrive in Canada For G7

Leaders of the Group of Seven (G7) nations arrived in Alberta, Canada as tensions rise over President Donald Trump’s looming tariff decisions and ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Five things to watch. The summit includes leaders from France, Germany, the EU, the UK, Japan, Italy, the U.S., and host nation Canada. It marks Trump’s first G7 appearance since returning to office earlier this year. His 90-day pause on "reciprocal" tariffs expires July 8, placing key trading partners like Japan and the EU on edge ahead of the talks.

The G7 summit in Kananaskis, Alberta — a scenic Rocky Mountain resort — runs through Tuesday. Leaders from Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the U.S. will gather to discuss wildfires, the global economy, and Ukraine. But the main focus for many: managing their interactions with President Trump. Invited leaders from India, Ukraine, Brazil, South Africa, South Korea, Australia, Mexico, and the UAE are also attending. How would it fare for Canada’s Carney?

Asked if new trade deals were coming, Trump said: “We have our trade deals. All we have to do is send a letter: ‘This is what you’re going to have to pay.’ But I think we’ll have a few, few new trade deals.” What to know about Trump’s meetings with world leaders?
