The War Widens With No End In Sight
President Trump signaled he may deploy US ground troops to Iran “if necessary”, even as his administration gives shifting timelines for a conflict he now says could extend well beyond the projected four to five weeks. Fighting has rapidly widened, with the US military death toll rose to six. In retaliation, Tehran launched counterstrikes after US and Israeli attacks, prompting Washington to urge Americans to leave multiple Middle Eastern countries immediately. Could US be on the verge of running out of munitions?
Breaking from Trump, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer told MPs the UK “does not believe in regime change from the skies” and defended refusing the use of British bases for initial US-Israeli strikes, despite President Trump’s objections. Satellite images offer view inside the war in Iran.

Breast Cancer Linked To Lifestyle Factors
A major global analysis in Lancet Oncology finds that more than a quarter of healthy years lost to breast cancer come from preventable lifestyle factors, including high red-meat intake, smoking, high BMI, and low physical activity.
Drawing on data from 200 countries between 1990 and 2023, researchers project new breast cancer cases will rise from 2.3 million to 3.5 million by 2050, with the burden shifting heavily toward low- and middle-income nations where diagnosis is later and treatment access is limited. Younger women are experiencing rising incidence, up nearly 30 percent since 1990.

SCOTUS Blocks California Rule On Schools Notifying Parents About Childrens’ Transgender Status
The Supreme Court temporarily blocked California from enforcing policies that restrict when schools can inform parents about a student’s transgender status, siding with religious parents who argued the rules violated their constitutional rights.
The conservative majority said parents are likely to succeed on claims involving free exercise and parental authority, while the three liberal justices dissented, criticizing the ruling as rushed and overly broad. California officials say the challengers misrepresented state policy, which they argue aims to protect vulnerable students’ privacy while allowing disclosure in situations involving safety or serious risk.

Credit scores have already shaped where we live, study, borrow, and buy. Now they’ve apparently entered the dating world too. A revived app called Score promises “love, verified,” matching people by creditworthiness and nudging finances into the heart of compatibility. Supporters say money talk is overdue; critics say it reduces relationships to metrics and reinforces class divides. As the app returns with “inclusive tiers,” the real question lingers: does financial stability signal romantic stability, or are we turning love into another algorithm?
