Texas Sues Tylenol Makers Over Unproven Autism Risks

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has sued Johnson & Johnson and its spinoff, Kenvue, accusing them of concealing potential risks that Tylenol may pose to fetal brain development. The lawsuit follows recent remarks from President Donald Trump, who suggested, without scientific proof, that acetaminophen use during pregnancy could cause autism. Paxton, who is running for the US Senate, claimed the companies “betrayed America” by putting profit over safety.

Both Johnson & Johnson and Kenvue have denied the allegations, citing decades of medical consensus that acetaminophen remains the safest pain reliever for pregnant women. Here’s everything to know about the lawsuit. Major health organizations, including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, called the lawsuit misleading, warning it could cause confusion among expectant mothers who rely on Tylenol to manage fevers and pain. Debunking three claims about Tylenol.

Research into possible links between acetaminophen and autism has produced mixed results, with no studies proving causation. A 2024 NIH-funded study found no connection, while a recent meta-analysis noted only potential correlations. Critics, including Senator Bill Cassidy, have dismissed the lawsuit as politically motivated and scientifically weak. Despite that, Paxton’s case marks the first state-backed legal challenge echoing Trump’s unverified claims.

Elon Musk And Grok Launch New Website Against Wikipedia

Elon Musk has launched Grokipedia, a new AI-generated encyclopedia meant to rival Wikipedia and reflect what he calls “the whole truth”. Created by his xAI startup, the site resembles Wikipedia in layout and structure but currently hosts under a million articles compared to Wikipedia’s seven million. Deep dive into Wikipedia vs Grokipedia.

Unlike Wikipedia, Grokipedia entries are written primarily by Musk’s Grok AI, raising questions about human oversight and editorial transparency. Early users have noticed ideological differences, with Grokipedia portraying Musk favorably and emphasizing conservative viewpoints. Some entries, including those on George Floyd and transgender issues, have been criticized for misleading framing and thin or inaccurate sourcing. A look at how Grokipedia describes Elon Musk.

Musk, who has often accused Wikipedia of “left-wing bias,” said Grokipedia aims to “preserve truth” across Earth, the Moon, and Mars. The Wikimedia Foundation responded that “Wikipedia informs; it does not persuade,” underscoring its human-led, transparent editing process. Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales also questioned Grokipedia’s reliability, saying AI-generated content still makes “massive errors”. Despite its rocky start and ideological slant, Musk insists Grokipedia will surpass Wikipedia “by several orders of magnitude” as Grok AI continues to evolve.

Israel-Hamas Ceasefire Fragile As Netanyahu Strikes Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered new airstrikes on Gaza Tuesday, claiming Hamas violated the US-brokered ceasefire by attacking Israeli troops and failing to return hostage remains. The Israeli military said the strikes, carried out across Gaza City, Khan Younis, and Deir al-Balah, were a direct response to attacks near Rafah. Gaza’s health ministry reported over 100 Palestinian deaths overnight, including women and children.

Hamas denied responsibility, calling the strikes a “flagrant violation” and accusing Israel of fabricating incidents to justify renewed aggression. The group said its efforts to recover hostages’ bodies have been hindered by Israeli restrictions in war-torn areas. President Donald Trump said the ceasefire “is not in jeopardy”, insisting Israel has a right to retaliate but that his Middle East peace deal remains intact.

Tensions have grown as the US expands its oversight role in enforcing the truce, deploying troops to coordinate aid and monitor compliance. While Netanyahu insists the ceasefire serves Israel’s interests, Israeli officials privately express frustration over American control. The fragile truce, once hailed as a breakthrough, now hangs in balance, as both sides trade blame for its possible unraveling.

Are phones ruining workplace meetings or just keeping us sane? Across workplaces, phones are increasingly creeping into meetings, leaving leaders frustrated and colleagues distracted. From CEOs hiding Wi-Fi passwords to others enforcing “phone jars,” many are experimenting with ways to bring back focus. Yet employees argue that phones help them multitask, stay responsive, or even discreetly nudge discussions in the right direction. As leaders try to reset meeting culture, the debate continues over whether phones are a productivity killer or just part of modern work life.
